Life in our home is going well. Tasha and I are adjusting to the erratic schedule of our dear baby Emma. She is great! Despite keeping us (more often Tasha) up at night, she is a bundle of joy. She is growing well and really starting to show the promise of future Turpin-like cheeks. Also, a new addition the last couple of weeks are some adorable rolls on her legs. Now, the goal is to keep the same rolls from my own legs.
Emma now weighs 9 lbs. 6 oz. We are still in amazement when we here babies being born that big, as Emma now seems huge (compared to her birth size that is). We receive regular reality checks on her size though, as there are several babies nearby that truly show how small she really is.
I am currently looking for another job (not in addition, but replacing one). The time at Red Mountain Wholesale (the flower place) has been great, but the Monday morning 4 AM shift is becoming unbearable. So, I am in search again. However, the hours I am available are making it extremely difficult. We're still hoping though.
Tasha and I just celebrated our 2 year anniversary. It was great! We spent the morning test driving cars in Salt Lake, then spent some time in Salt Lake before returning to Utah County to go to Magelby's for dinner. It was good. Not the best selection, but we enjoyed talking and spending the evening reminiscing over the last 2 years. We finished the evening by watching some of our newfound favorite show Mythbusters on the Discovery Channel and then "The Devil Wears Prada." It was a great anniversary!
It's still hard to believe that it's already been 2 years, but we are eagerly looking forward to the next 70 together. When we look at Emma and how blessed we are, it is with complete gratitude and appreciation that we realize how much we truly have. The Lord is so good to us. As we transition into the next stages of our lives, we look forward to His continual guidance and direction. We are truly grateful for all that we have and for all that we have in store.
