Five-star generations

We decided we had to take advantage of a rare family photo opportunity, so we journeyed with my parents to the land of Idaho. 14 hours later we arrived in Sandpoint, Idaho (near the Canadian border), to visit my grandma and great-grandma. Emma is so lucky to have this five-generation picture! From left to right: Emma's Grandma Daurene Louise Turpin, Great-great-grandma Bernadine Kossman, Mother Tasha Merrill, Emma Louise Merrill, and Great-grandma Elvira Gibson.

P.S. We thought Great-great-grandma's name was Bernadine Louise. But we were all mistaken; it's Christine. I guess Emma's not actually named after her after all. But we've been assured that there are (probably) plenty more women named Louise in our family line that Emma's named after.
